Clinics & Services
In addition to general medical consultations we are pleased to be able to provide specialist clinics and services covering the following areas:
Community Pharmacist
A Community Pharmacist runs a clinic every Wednesday at which they can see or phone patients to discuss all aspects of medication. They can also deal with a number of minor ailments and injuries.
Physiotherapist
A Physiotherapist holds a clinic at the Practice every Friday afternoon to see patients with muskelo-skeletal pain. She does not provide an actual physiotherapy service, rather a triage service to determine what is the best course of action.
Social Prescriber
A Social Prescriber runs a clinic every tow weeks on a Friday morning. Anyone feeling isolated, lonely or dealing with social problems which are not being addressed by a GP can book into these clinics.
Health Promotion
Health promotion is undertaken by the nursing staff opportunistically. They also provide advice on diabetes, hypertension, asthma, HRT, contraception and diet/lifestyle.
NHS Health Checks
The Practice offers Free NHS Health Checks to all patients 40 to 74, who do not currently have an existing long term condition.
Family Planning
All doctors provide family planning services by appointment within normal surgery times. In addition we can fit and/or remove Implanon and coils.
Antenatal
This is held every Thursday between 13:00 and 15:30 by appointment. The clinic is run by the community midwife.
Postnatal
Postnatal checks are undertaken by appointment with the doctors. Your postnatal appointment is arranged by the surgery and will be sent to you by post.

This is carried out routinely at around three- yearly intervals for ladies 25-49 years and five-yearly from 50-64 years. Sometimes more frequent tests are required and in this case you will be notified by letter and asked to make an appointment with either the doctor or the practice nurse.
